I like that heading. Makes me feel all officious. Like I am running a corporation. Or a rodeo.

Quick bits:

– I’m way excited about escaping to Melbourne this week to talk about Raw Blue at Penguin’s New and Emerging Authors session (with Gabrielle Williams, Kirsten Murphy and Gabrielle Stroud);

– although I have been escaping anyway by doing way too much surfing and not enough writing;

– and I’m loving the summery weather in Sydney at the moment. But I’m also strangely disconcerted by it – does this mean the real summer is going to be a frying hell hole? Also, there’s been next to nothing in the way of winter south swells, so all the banks are CHOKED with sand.
